Member retention is affected by many different factors. It's not only about good coaching and effective programming, but also things like location, layout of dressing rooms, lighting of areas, complaint procedures, sales and personnel. Member retention is about the overall quality of a fitness centre. Presenting on retention does not immediately mean that every issue is dealt with, at least not completely.
